Overview
Attendees who complete this class and pass the examination at the end will be able to:
- Understand how a PID works
- Set up, configure and test a ppbRAE 3000
- Understand Basic and Advanced Survey Mode and Hygiene Mode
- Interpret the User Interface and use the built-in libraries
- Understand Correction Factors
- Calculate Correction Factors
- Calculate TLVs for mixtures and modify alarm settings accordingly
- Know when to use duty-cycling
- Practice sampling live gases and interpreting results
- Download datalogged data and upload configurations and firmware upgrades
- Service and maintain the ppbRAE 3000, including:
- Calibrate the monitor
- Conduct standard field diagnostic tests
- Maintain PID lamp and pumps
- Replace lamp
