Overview

Attendees who complete this class and pass the examination at the end will be able to:

  • Understand how a PID works
  • Set up, configure and test a ppbRAE 3000
  • Understand Basic and Advanced Survey Mode and Hygiene Mode
  • Interpret the User Interface and use the built-in libraries
  • Understand Correction Factors
  • Calculate Correction Factors
  • Calculate TLVs for mixtures and modify alarm settings accordingly
  • Know when to use duty-cycling
  • Practice sampling live gases and interpreting results
  • Download datalogged data and upload configurations and firmware upgrades
  • Service and maintain the ppbRAE 3000, including:
    • Calibrate the monitor
    • Conduct standard field diagnostic tests
    • Maintain PID lamp and pumps
    • Replace lamp
