Civil Defense

RAE Systems offers a broad range of personal and area protection gas detection instruments for civil defense and military applications. These products are ideal for continuous detection of unseen threats such as radiation and toxic and combustible gases in confined spaces—from wing tank entries to more complicated wireless public venue events.

The MultiRAE Plus is the instrument of choice for flight-line and wing tank service operations, where jet fuel presents the threat of both toxicity and flammability. The AreaRAE has been the wireless monitoring system of choice for major public events including the Superbowl, MLB World Series, NASCAR Racing and NBA Championships. Our products have been deployed with Special Forces around the world.

Current users of RAE Systems instrumentation include the United States Air Force, United States Navy, National Guard WMD Civil Support Teams, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the US Postal Inspection Service, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency.
