This firmware version restores P2P option in the instrument. This firmware version sets the wireless protocol used in the ProRAE Remote wireless network by default. This wireless protocol is different from the P2P protocol employed by some users to create a hard-wired hyper-terminal emulation connection.

Once this firmware is installed on a monitor, the communications status of the monitor is displayed during start-up. The letter “-D” is appended to the firmware version (e.g., “Firmware v2.00-D”) for monitors with P2P enabled. The letter “-W” is appended to the firmware version (e.g., “Firmware v2.00-W”) for monitors with wireless enabled.

To use the hard-wired hyperterminal emulation connection, the P2P protocol must be restored. This can be done with the WirelessP2P.exe utility available on the RAE Systems, Inc. website at www.raesystems.com/downloads.

This firmware version add AutoRAE support for MiniRAE 2000. AutoRAE firmware version has to be 4.00 or higher to support MiniRAE 2000 instrument. When doing autocalibration, Firmware will automatically change span gas settings to default gas 100 ppm Isobutylene.
